The artwork Shikhandi depicts a key moment from the Mahabharata, where Shikhandi, born female and later reborn as a male by Shiva’s blessing, becomes the elder brother of Draupadi. The artist illustrates the scene where Shikhandi causes Bhishma’s fall. A monolithic figure in muted gray tones holds his own crowned head, symbolizing his transformation and internal struggle. Below him, Bhishma’s severed head lies, pierced by three arrows, capturing the tragic convergence of fate, identity, and duty
