NATARAJA
48 x 36 inches
Acrylic and ink on canvas

Nataraja, meaning “Lord of the Dance,” is a powerful form of Lord Shiva depicting the cosmic dance, Ananda Tandava, symbolizing creation, destruction, and the rhythm of life. With four hands, he holds a damaru (creation), flame (destruction), shows Abhaya Mudra (protection), and points to his raised foot (liberation). His wild hair represents the Ganga, while his calm face reflects inner peace. Nataraja is especially revered in Tamil Nadu.
