The Ten Mahavidyas are powerful manifestations of Adi Parashakti, emerging through Sati and Parvati in sacred Shakta lore. These goddesses symbolize divine wisdom, cosmic power, and protection. Two key legends describe their origin—Sati creating ten forms to attend Daksha’s sacrifice, and Parvati transforming into Kali when Shiva tried to leave her. Each goddess governs a specific direction around Shiva and is central to Tantra Sadhana. Worshipped during Gupt Navratris, their energies are accessed through Yantras and Beej Mantras, as detailed in the Todala Tantra. Together, they represent the ultimate feminine reality that sustains cosmic order and blesses devotees.
