Mahagauri, the eighth form of Goddess Parvati, is worshipped on Durga Ashtami. She transformed from dark to radiant after bathing in Mansarovar. To destroy demons like Shumbha and Nisumbha, she took fierce forms—Kalika, Chandi, and Chamunda. Revered for purity, compassion, and strength, she grants salvation and spiritual enlightenment.
